What is Vitamin B3 Niacin
Vitamin B3 is an important vitamin, which is found in various food sources. This vitamin plays an important role in various bodily processes. Vitamin B3 powder is often used in cosmetic products and in sports supplements such as a pre-workout or multi-vitamin. You can also add it to a creme for skin conditions. There are 2 different variants of Vitamin B3 powder, namely Niacin and Nicotinamide. Niacin can cause the so-called “flush”, because of its vasodilator effect. Nicotinamide does not have this effect and is therefore more likely to be encountered in cosmetic products and dietary supplements.
Why Vitamin B3 Niacin
Only a small part of the vitamin B3 from food is absorbed by the body. Vitamin B3 is water soluble, so a large part ends up in the water when preparing food and is lost. The body does not get enough and there can occur a shortage of this important vitamin. A deficiency of Vitamin B3 can lead to various complaints such as skin disorders, diarrhea and dementia. An excess of vitamin B3 can also lead to unpleasant complaints. A surplus can quickly arise when using nutritional supplements such as multi vitamins. When you use pure Vitamin B3 powder, you determine the dosage yourself.
