What is Shiitake extract
This Shiitake extract is made from the Shiitaki Lentinus Edodoes mushroom and grows mainly in Japan and China. They have been using this in kitchen and traditional medicine for centuries. In the western world, this mushroom has also become very popular and is mainly used in the kitchen. The popularity is also due to the powerful properties that it possesses. A lot of research is being done into this and more and more good qualities are coming to the fore. The Shiitake mushroom is, as far as we know, the only mushroom that contains vitamin D. It contains the “provitamin”, which means that the body can convert it itself into vitamin D. This is a standardized extract with 30% polysaccharides and contains the full spectrum of nutrients.
Why Shiitake extract
There are many different edible mushrooms that have roughly the same nutritional profile. Shiitake mushrooms contain a more extensive nutritional profile, whereby the nutrients occur in higher concentrations. Compared to normal mushrooms, shiitake contains more fiber, potassium, magnesium, calcium, zinc, iron and other minerals. In addition, it contains various vitamins and is very protein-rich with a complete amino acid profile. A portion of 100 gr. fresh Shiitake mushrooms contains 13 grams of protein and a normal mushroom only 2.7 grams. The present Polysaccharides are healthy sugars that are very important for the body and energy production. Previously it was thought that our cells were only made up of protein, but recent research has shown that this also requires healthy sugars.
